Container Love celebrates Pride Month in Berlin's H&M Mitte Garten. Pride Month is the one month of the year that symbolizes hope for an open, diverse world without hate and discrimination for many in the LGBTQ+ community. Instead of a classic gallery exhibition, the locations are surprising and invite visitors to engage with the art, the artists and the theme #VisibleLove.
When it comes to sustainability, individualization and personalized interactions, we are definitely on board – that was our first thought when we were invited to Interzum 2019, the world's largest trade fair for furniture production and interior design.
We adore the Hamburg photographer, music producer and DJ Katja Ruge. And we really love her fabulous party series Kann denn Liebe Synthie sein. Container Love was her personal visual host in 2018 and 2019.
Container Love Art project at Reeperbahn festival 2017. Four days surrounded by wonderful artworks of powerful artists. Four days of love and diversity. And four days of fantastic singer-songwriter music, framed by artist talks, a book presentation, a movie demonstration and an amazing reading.
2017. What a year. We spent the whole summer at music and art festivals, travelling from one container to another with our pictures, performances and films. But the heart is when you come home – home to the MS Dockville in Hamburg. Home again between harbor and dykes we hacked their container to focus the human lens on love, diversity and equality.
What is love? How do people want to experience an exhibition? What are they looking for when going out at night? After not getting far into our closed circle of three we decided to invite a group of amazing individuals. Some friends who are busy with the art and culture scene or industry. Cheers!
A little preview of our Container Love Art Project took part at Vogelball 2017 Hamburg feat. Peaches, Mykki Blanco, Yetti Meißner, Levente Pavelka, Yeşim and many many more great artists. Big up on that excellent line up by MS Artville. We danced the whole night and still spit out our feathers…
Welcome to Hamburg's most beautiful open-air gallery. From mid-July on, the spotlight was on art for two weeks. Changing artists and artist collectives worked, lived and brought their artworks to life.
For this fabulous event, the Container Love 4 left its container at the MS Dockville area, which was its comfortable home for more than three years, and hacked the night at Riverkasematten next to Hamburg’s infamous Reeperbahn.
In 2017 the Hamburg queer party series Fruits invited us to show some pictures at their party. Matching the name of the event we decided to show Monster Nature – a still life series of creative director and photographer Christian Ruess.
Our cooperation with Hamburg based art and music festival MS Dockville celebrated its third year in August 2016. Between harbor and dykes we hacked their container to focus the human lens on body, love and equality.
Since 2011, the Vogelball is an established part of the festival summer in Hamburg. The queer masked ball, which takes place around the MS Dockville area, traditionally runs parallel to the big parade of Christopher Street Day in Hamburg.
Summer 2015 at MS Dockville. The concept for the Container Love exhibtion that year was quite easy: Let’s bring art and drinks together. So we invited several photographer and illustrator to bring their art all over our container walls and bars.
Two creatives, one idea - as so often in life. Hey, let's have an exhibition, a big one, over several days, day and night, with music, dance and sweat, with lots of good drinks and delicious food, indoor and outdoor, like a mini-festival. And the only theme worth having is love. Love across all borders.
