We adore the Hamburg photographer, music producer and DJ Katja Ruge. And we really love her fabulous party series Kann denn Liebe Synthie sein. After Katja has already shown some of her pictures in our containers in the early days of Container Love, and has also spread her love as a DJ at one of our exhibitions, it was a natural step to complement her parties with some of our artworks. So Container Love was her personal visual host in 2018 and 2019. In the Moiré, the second floor of Hamburg’s hip electro club PAL, the party people danced between a lot of naked skin, best 80s synthie-pop music and some plastic palm trees… of course. The exhibition included pictures by Christian Ruess and Loreen Hinz as well as short films by Buenos Aires based Armando Frezze Durand and his Doopler Magazine.
