Bold colors, pleasant landscapes, everyday people, random situations, stunning nature, bits of the city, captivating interiors, and much more describe the mesmerizing visual journal that photographer Maximilian Virgili presents in his book “Out Of Office”. Produced over the years and during intermittent periods of time on his holidays, the artist, represented by LGA Management, shares joyful moments captured far away from daily working life.

“There is nothing particular I pursue while photographing. It is very intrinsic and self-cathartic. I am drawn to situations where colors are predominant, graphical structures, where the light hits in interesting ways.”

“There is nothing particular I pursue while photographing. It is very intrinsic and self-cathartic. I am drawn to situations where colors are predominant, graphical structures, where the light hits in interesting ways. But also random everyday situations that would maybe be mostly overlooked by many. It just gives me joy to revisit those pictures later and remember the feeling I had when taking them”, comments Maximilian about his book. From Italy to Malaysia, including moments in Mexico, Portugal, Thailand, Greece, Hungary, and many other places, “Out Of Office” invites you to escape routine and fantasize with the beauty of the simple.

About the stories behind these images, Maximilian recalls a special moment in Thailand: “I was walking around the beach at Koh Lipe, and there was a big boat arriving with supplies for the local restaurants. I photographed the scenery a bit, turned around, and suddenly there was this big fridge standing in the middle of the beach, waiting to get picked up, so I shot it”. In a combination of refreshing memories and astonishing images in “Out Of Office”, the particular perspective under the lens of Maximilian Virgili is a place to encounter inspiration.
