Carlos Darder is a photographer from Palma de Mallorca, Spain. He was influenced by his mother’s photography and focuses on capturing everything that surrounds him – his friends, intimacy, daily routines and the meaning of youth. Join us in spending a day on the beach with him and his friends for some much needed summer love and read our little conversation with him below.

“If you can enjoy pain you can enjoy life.”

How are you? And how are you spending your days currently?

Im doing fine, chilling at the moment, smoking a cigarette and waiting to get sleep. My days have been good, I have been drawing all day and night, tattooing, thinking about new projects that are coming now and also where I do wanna move from Majorca in September.

The unavoidable question: how has the current situation influenced you and your art?

Always is the same, I always try to create, no matter how is the situation I’m living, If I stop creating I literally die!

What are the first 3 things you will do when the whole Corona situation is „over“?

Fly somewhere with my fiancé and probably the same as I have been doing now but with less restrictions, probably party a bit even if I don’t have the energy for it.

Famous last words?

If you can enjoy pain you can enjoy life.
