The Hidden Dimension: Official Trailer
Container Love’s short film ‘The Hidden Dimension’ is an intimate portrait of queer photographer Leo Maki, exploring the interplay of sexuality, desire, and reality in his art. The film has received international acclaim and has been shown in German-speaking cinemas since spring 2024. It highlights the complexity and beauty of real-life diversity through Maki’s lens, capturing his experiences as a queer artist in Poland, where LGBTQIA+ rights are limited and anti-LGBT hate speech has increased since 2018.
Working with Container Love means there’s always more. During the film’s production, we collaborated with the H&M Group on an international exhibition celebrating queer love, life, and culture. We highlighted ‘The Hidden Dimension’ with a special editorial and exhibition featuring Leo Maki and renowned queer photographers from around the world, sharing their perspectives on a diverse society. Additionally, Container Love Magazine launched an online special with interviews and editorials from Eastern European artists on LGBTQIA+ issues.
‘The Hidden Dimension’ has screened at multiple film festivals globally, earning several awards. It serves as a reminder that queer identities matter and must be considered in building inclusive and democratic societies.
