Between lovers, showing affection is only natural yet queer people are often being deprived of the freedom of expressing their love outside of a safe space. Berlin-based photographer Szymon Stepniak’s brand-new series puts intimacy between lovers in the spotlight, and with pictures wrapped in his signature glow, reflects on queer visibility, out in the open. Inspired by Berlin’s thriving club scene, a beautiful sanctuary for people all over and beyond the queer spectrum, Szymon invited some passionate individuals into his studio. For the series, he took pictures of couples, of lovers, documenting intimate moments, acts of affection, of tenderness. And just as we loved Szymon’s work as part of Container Love’s first printed magazine, The Visibility Issue, we are in awe of the way his new series brings queer love to light, where it belongs.
