Szymon Stepniak: Into The Great Wide Open

Visibility equals queer love that is being accepted, unbothered, and flourishing while in the public spotlight – Berlin-based photographer Szymon Stepniak’s editorial for Container Love’s anniversary doubles as an experiment on its own. Collaborating with two members of the erotic art collective, Pornceptual, Chris and Malte, Szymon made the pair his models, bringing queer love to public spaces. Capturing the affectionate moments shared by Chris and Malte, Szymon’s pictures show a bold present of queer relationships that once could have been labeled as utopia. His series is a statement strengthened with love: we are here, standing together, and we are not going anywhere.
