Robin Kater: A Little Extra

“Visibility means creating my own path in a world that has repeatedly told me that there is no path for me at all” – Berlin-based performer and media personality Robin Solf’s lust for life was key in creating his editorial for Container Love with photographer Robin Kater. Self-acceptance means shedding the masks we wear and celebrating the complexity of our identities, and this is the principle that keeps guiding Robin in his professional and personal life. “For as long as I can remember, being queer has had this negative undertone to it, a lot of people thought of it just as if it was something bad, something wrong. I wish that there had been more flamboyant queer representation when I was growing up, ‘cause that would have made things a lot easier for me.” A special addition to our printed magazine, Robin’s series is about self-acceptance and finding pride in ourselves every day. “I wanted to show all the people who didn’t believe in me that I will make it.”
