Timmi Taubenschreck: Between Intimacy and Voyeurism

Seems like our love affair with Timmi Taubenschreck’s photography only gets supercharged with the season around the corner. Except these days, Timmi is splitting his time between Berlin and Cape Town, with the latter serving as “my happy place and also my main inspiration.” He fell in love with the lights of the German winter some ten years ago, and although “every season I collaborate with amazing models and stylists to create something new” in Berlin, his Spring Story that he created for Container Love was shot in his backyard in sunny South Africa. A good match for his latest project, Godsandboys, a storytelling series inspired by iconic photographers, nude photography, and gay culture.

“My photography is raw and analog with passion for the perfect imperfect aspect, it is about the essence of the moment. It could be described as documentary, as an intimate view – but its story is deeper and more sensitive. Something between intimacy and voyeurism.” Timmi is part of Container Love’s latest special, Spring Is My Love, our ongoing series celebrating a new season with beautiful, new artists to discover!
