HOMAGE TO THE HUMAN BODY
AdeY’s work captures those little moments of social oppression, isolation, anxiety and depression and the hidden humour that comes with it. His work shows that we do not only change in relation to our environment, but that our environment adapts to what we become as well. The images depict imbalances evident in contemporary society by directly addressing issues of gender, normative behaviour and how society forces us to choose one direction or path. The subjects depict our vulnerability, loneliness, strengths and expectations whilst highlighting the correlation between body and space.
